Kingsford “On the Grill” Promotion
Sweepstakes Fact Sheet

True tailgaters know that game-day always tastes better on the grill. This year, Kingsford has teamed with ESPN to give fans the opportunity to test the tailgating – and football – knowledge of former defensive lineman Mike Golic for a chance to win fabulous prizes including bowl game tickets for eight, a chance to barbecue with the drivers at the season ending race in Homestead-Miami, and grilling prize packs in Kingsford’s “On the Grill” promotion.

How to Enter:

Fans can enter the Kingsford "On the Grill” promotion by completing and submitting a sweepstakes entry when they visit ESPN.com (keyword Kingsford) between Aug. 25 and
Nov. 2, 2008. Entrants will have the opportunity to earn one bonus sweepstakes entry when they submit a college football-themed or tailgate-themed question. There is a limit of two entries per person per day.

How to Win:

Grand and First Prize winners will be selected at random from all entries received. A total of 30 Weekly Prize winners (three per week) will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during each given week of the promotion period. For the purpose of this sweepstakes, each week will begin on a Monday and conclude the following Sunday.

All winners will be notified in November 2008.

Prizes:

Kingsford will provide one Grand Prize winner with an all-expense-paid Bowl Game Tailgate trip for 8 to Orlando, Fla. between Dec. 31, 2008 and Jan. 2, 2009 (including travel accommodations, airfare, hosted tailgate and admission to the game).

One First Prize winner will receive a VIP trip for two to the Homestead-Miami Speedway Busch Series-NASCAR Race in Miami, Fla. Nov. 14-15, 2008 (including travel accommodations, airfare and pit passes). 

A total of 30 Weekly Prize winners will receive:

  • Charcoal grill, an assortment of Kingsford® grilling accessories and one season’s worth of Kingsford® charcoal
  • ESPN Grill Station
  • ESPN MVP Chair
  • $50 ESPN Gift Card
  • “ESPN GameDay Gourmet” cookbook

Eligibility:

Open to legal United States residents age 18 and over who are current members or become members of ESPN.com or one of its affiliated sites. Membership is free.
